They put me on this for a sinus infection. 500mg the first day and 250mg for the next 4 days. Welp, i took it and had some nausea but then got the MOST HORRIBLE stomach cramps. I couldnt walk and couldnt breathe and i was doubled over almost in tears. Anyone else have this effect? How did you feel while taking this?????

I have nerv taken it while pregnant but several times while not and never experinced that before. I would call the doctor asap!

Did you take the antibiotic on an empty stomach? Sometimes you have to eat crackers with antibiotics because they can be harsh on your stomach.... Just read the label and see... I took z-pack a few years ago and it didn't upset my stomach... but I wasn't preg.... but I'm thinking I took it with food.....

I took it a couple dpo, and had no problems, but I always took it with food, so maybe that would help.

When I take it I get horrible stomach pain--I'm literally stuck on the couch, unable to walk, crying or screaming for 2-3 hours.  It's just about the worst pain I've had in my life, and I didn't have a fully working epi for my c/s.

 The same thing happens to my sister if she takes it.  I will not take Zirthromax under any circumstances.  I tell all my doctors to put it on the list of drugs I am allergic to (even though it really isn't an allergy.

Call your doctor and tell him/her what happened and insist they prescribe something else.

Yes, that is a known reaction (along with diarrhea & nausea).You should call your MD/NP and ask them to switch you to a different antibiotic. Good luck.
