Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Baby Gap and Old Navy baby clothes

I see that they are sized 6-12 months and 12-18 months.  My son is a bog boy but doesn't 6-12 seem like a wide range?  Anyone know how they fit?

  • I have never really had a problem with them, but they have a size chart that lets you know what sizes should fit your child.

  • i haven't had a problem dd is still in 0-3 onesies in both seem to ft true to size
  • I just bought a pair of pants size 6-12months and they are a just a little long on DS who is about 16lbs now (was 25in and 14lbs 11oz at his 4month check up).

  • they are pretty true to size.  It's nice because i always try to buy a size up at most stores sothey fit longer- but with old navy you can use them longer and buy the size that fits now+!

  • DD weighs a little over 17 pounds and 6-12 months pants are very tight on her.

This is what I was worried about.  DS was 19lbs at his 4 month appt.  I know the 12-18 months would be WAY too big.  At the Gap they had a great coat but only size 12-18 months and it was huge.

  • We have a 6-12 romper from the gap and DS is 17 lbs, this fits perfectly right now.  I am thinking 1 more pound or so and it will be too small. When I first put him in it, when other 6 month clothes were fitting it was a teensy bit big. I feel like they make these sizes to get a little more wear out of the clothes.
  • Babies tend to slow down in growth after 6 months, so the 6-12 actually works for most babies.
