When did you start lovenox?

If you are on lovenox, when did you start the injections? Also, did you see your peri or MFM before the normal 10 weeks? I have an appt. in 2 weeks but I'm worried I need to be on the lovenox sooner since I have FVL and we discussed before I got pregnant that I would go on it.

I started it at 20 weeks, but that is when we found out that I had FVL.  My dad, brother and grandpa all have it but I had never been tested.  I have had 5 surgeries and it was never an issue so I had no clue that I even had it. My ob decided to test me after we were talking about a different blood disease I have and she was explaining genetics and I mentioned the FVL.

I started when I told them I wanted to start trying to get pregnant. So I've been on it for over a year now. I have homozygous FVL though so I was on coumadin before....just can't be taking that while pregnant and I have to be on anti-coagulants always and forever.

If I were you I would ask them for a script. Probably the sooner the better. The hormones reach a peak around 20 weeks so definitely before then I would think.

This is my 2nd pregnancy on lovenox and I also have FVL.  I started as soon as I got my BFP both times.  I always just call my dr and he calls in a prescription to my pharmacy.  Then I just go see him for my regularly scheduled appointment.

I started at 14 weeks due to a PE.  Diagnosed with fvl after that.  I would call your Dr. asap and have them set you up with a prescription.

If I was you I would call my Dr. and get on Lovenox asap.  Especially with FVL. I started on Lovenox about 12 dpo when I had a bfp.

I have FVL and started Lovenox injections as soon as I got my BFP.

I started at 8 weeks, as soon as they confirmed via u/s that this was a viable pregnancy.

13 weeks due to a thrombophilia and low protein c levels diagnosis.

I wish the diagnosis was made sooner. I have had 2 prior miscarriages and my Baby A died at 17 weeks. I will always wonder if it was due to my clotting disorder.

i was on it from 8w with DD. I also have FVL - I've never had clots but due to family history, had been tested years ago.

I only saw my high risk ob. He conferred with other drs himself, but I didn't have any contact with them personally.

Good luck! It seems scary right now, I'm sure, but you'll make it to the other end just fine.

I was JUST about to post this very same question!!!  I got my BFP 9-05, but just had my first beta today bc I was out of town. With DD I started it right away, but had spotting and a SCH. When I saw MFM before TTC after DD they said I would start lovenox after a HB was established, allowing the fetus to implant safely w/o risk of bleeding. That said, with my last pg I started it @ hcg level 2500 (5ish weeks) hadn't had an us, that is just what OB wanted. I didn't have any probs with bleeding but MC due to Trisomy 21. THIS time, office just called and hcg is 4112, the nurse was indecisive on whether or not I should start the lovenox, and I dont think the MD's were there anymore to ask So I am going to wait until my Monday hcg to see what it is and maybe start it then. I am on baby aspirin and was when TTC. It makes sense to let implantation happen before starting it, but it also makes me nervous NOT starting it! What did your OB/MFM recommend?

I was started on it at 8ish weeks.  That's when I found out that I have mthfr.  If I have another baby, I will start on it as soon as I get a positive test.

I started at 7 week due to FVL, but had been on baby asa prior to that. The Hematologist and RE said that I should start once a heartbeat confirmed viability. I did see a high risk OB while TTC, who actually said that I don't need to be on Lovenox at all. I made the choice with my doctors due to 3 previous m/cs.
