Finlay or Finley?

I say it like 'fin-lee', so I'm thinking more Finley... they both look nice to me though. Would you say one different than the other?

I also have seen this as a unisex name... if you've seen it on a girl (I haven't, just on a site is where I see it as unisex) which version was it? I don't wanna (maybe) use the wrong one!

I like Finley better. I have seen this spelling used for both boys and girls. I haven't seen the name spelled with an A before

Finlay is the more traditional, masculine spelling - it is the anglicized form of the Scottish name Fionnlagh.

Both are anglicised forms of Fionnlagh.  Finley is more popular in the US, ranking #817 for males and #664 for females, and in England/Wales at #47(males), whereas Finlay is not ranked in the US and is ranked #59 in England/Wales and #18 in Scotland.  I personally prefer Finlay for a boy in the US.

When I see Finlay I want to say Fin- Lay.  I would personally go with Finley.

Me too, I say Fin-lay for Finlay and I think the name is more flattering as Fin-lee, so I'd go with the Finley spelling.

Finley for sure!!  This is my favorite name and top choice for our DD due in december but DH wanted to name her after his late grandfather.  Congrats!!
