I have thousands of pics (on my computer/online), but haven't been good about getting them printed. I think I want to catch up on that now, but what to do with all of them??
Several volumes of photo albums? And, do you pick and choose which photo's to print, or do you keep all of them?
Re: S/O: How do you store your pics?
This.....
It's called a Power Sort box and it's by Creative Memories. I have one for Disney, that is compartmentalized by trip. I have one for Joey's 1st year and one for Cam's 1st year -- which are compartmentalized by month.
For 2-5, I am going to try to fit those in one Power Sort for each kid. I only order the picks that I want to put in their scrapbooks (and ones that I want to enlarge, etc). Everything else is on my computer/laptop and Snapfish/Shutterfly. I bought 3 external hard drives -- I really need to get all the pics on there.
I only order pictures that I want. I have scrapbooks and photo albums. There are also about 100 framed pictures throughout the house...kind of ridiculous.
The rest are all in iphoto and backed up on disks.
I would love to be able to say that I have successfully scrapbooked each of my children up to the last month, and have the pages neatly tucked into albums by year. Additionally, I would also love to tell you that they are all safely stored/backed up on my computer, CD's and external harddrive, each picture/file labeled according to date and what each picture is.
In reality, I have them on my computer's hard drive, some are back up to CD, and I have purchased the external hard drive, but not done anything but take it out of the box. The pictures I have selected to print (my favorites) are sitting in the sleeves from shutterfly, snapfish, target, costco, or wherever I happened to have them printed. I have made some photo books, and that is where the favorite of the favorite ones are. Yep - I REALLY need to do something about all of that.
