Photo girls...

anyone else not a fan of "the tilt?"  You know, the one that everyone uses where they tilt the camera on a 45 (roughly) and the person looks like they are falling from one corner of the photo to the bottom?!?!

That's all I can think of when I see it.  A *slight* tilt can be nice....but I see (all too often) this drastic tilt and I'm just not a fan.  I'm wondering if I'm missing something?!?!

Re: Photo girls...

  • 8 degrees is my max!
  • Ok, I didn't know you could tell to which degree you are tilting!  Interesting.  So I'm WAY off with 45.  I'm guessing the ones I'm talking about are at 15 or so then!??!

  • I don't know about doing this with the camera but I do my own natural tilt thing that can be found in every pic of me. Its rather annoying. I wish I could stop

LOL!  The only reason I know this is because every once in awhile I will rotate a bit while editing, and I've measured it.  Seriously, though, I don't like having to crank my head to look at a photo either!

  • This was one of my sis's biggest complaint with her wedding photos....her photographer took a TON of tilt pictures....well, it just looks odd if you put them in frames and hang them in walls....or even in an album.....

its artsy, I guess, but for regular pictures of regular events and regular things, its weird, and hard to frame.

  • I like some but none of mine look right...I think I tilt too much : )
