Oy. This "I have a mind of my own" thing is a bit much...

When we were up north, we looked at 2 preschools. ?Liked them both. ?Both would be wonderful for Ethan. ?One was significantly less expensive. ?The pricier one had a pet turtle in the class room.?

I told him yesterday that he'll be going to the significantly less expensive one (not how I worded it to him, obviously), and he piped up, "But I don't like that place! I want the one with the turtle!" ?

Ugh!! ?The only thing he was really taken by there was the turtle. ?I can't pay 3k more a year so he can have access to the class turtle. ?He had a blast at the place we decided upon, so I know he'll be happy there, but ugh--he's been talking about that damn turtle now for the past 24 hours.

    LOL, yeah, we could. ?Not sure I feel like taking care of a turtle for the next how ever many years they live, but it's a thought.

    I have a co-worker who has a pet turtle...the turtle is 25 years old Smile

    oh dear god. ?I am not taking care of a turtle for 25 years so this kid doesn't complain about preschool. ?he's going to have to learn to deal with some small measure of disappointment.

    I am suprised that they had a turtle(here in Mass they have strict laws about having those and a few other pets because of salmonella).  It would be cheaper if you just got him a turtle lol.  I am glad you found a place that you both will like.  Good luck

    We took DD to her pre school before she officially began. They had a pet guinea pig there. It's ALL she talked about for the month before she started. Guess who died the WEEK before she started school?!? I was soo afraid she'd freak out and not be so excited for school. Turns out she hasn't mentioned the guinea pig once in the month she's been at school!

    Hopefully he'll get over the turtle just as quickly!
