What age did you stop using hooded towels?

Once dd out grew the infant ones I stoped using them.  I see a few people on my parenting borads mking them for older kids (like the must use them because its a baby).  I have even seen parents with kids older then dd askign where to buy bigger ones because the baby ones are just way to small.  I just use the same towels dh and I use for dd.

Re: What age did you stop using hooded towels?

  • My 4 (almost 5) and 3 year olds use them.  They really like them so I figure, why not?  Besides, it is fun to see them running to their bedroom after a bath pretending to be a monkey or elephant or whatever when they go to get their jammies.

  • Preston still uses them. He loves to leave them on his head and run around naked...lol.
  • We still use hooded towels for C, we just use bigger ones.  MIL has sent a couple of character ones and then we have a surfboard print one from PBK.

  • DS's 3 and we still use them.  Embarrassed  But they're the thick terry cloth kind rather than the thin ones.

  • Not sure what age...but I'll use them until they wear out and become rags to wash the car with!
  • ok so it seems like im the weird one.  I cant even get dd to keep a towel on.  She likes to run around naked after a bath.
  • I haven't used them with our youngest DS since he was about 2 mos old :)
  • I stopped using them when they outgrew the infant ones.  The kids think it's fun to wrap regular towels around themselves like a toga and go running around after bathtime like that.
