I only pumped 9oz this morning, so I had to have my mom give LO one 6oz bottle of formula for the first time today.  I feel so bad I didn't want to have to give him formula, at least not yet.  I feel like a failure.  I'm still pumping and hoping I can some what keep up.  The more BM I can give him, the better, I think.

I had to leave a bottle of formula today too ... because I lost 5 oz of bm from a leaky Avent bottle over the weekend.  I'm throwing away the Avent bottles.

My DS won't take formula if his life depended on it...he just spits it all right out!

Kate gets roughly 2-3 oz of breast milk per feeding, and the rest comes from formula.  I know what it's like to feel like a failure, but you certainly are not!  You do what you have to do...it's better that you give him formula than let him starve!

you're not a failure! you have to feed your baby... and some breastmilk is better than none, right? so any that you can give can only help. and formula isn't poison. some of us did quite well on it
