If you are supplementing ?

If you supplement... do you mix it in with BM or do you do full bottles of BM and full bottles of formula?

I think I need to start supplementing to have my freezer stash last a bit longer.  I was thinking of just adding an oz or 2 of formula to his BM bottles to make 6 oz. 

What do you do?

I generally make up a small container of formula before I need it - then, if I have some BM but not enough for the next feeding - I'll add some formula - when i'm out of BM then I do straight formula.

I don't mix it. I feed him BM until I'm out and then straight FM. I don't have a freezer stash though so I'm not sure what I would do if I did.

The main reason I don't mix it is I want to make sure he gets all of the BM. If he doesn't finish a FM bottle we throw it away but if he doesn't finish BM we save it for next time.

I supplemtn during thday while my Mom has my LO, she gies her the BM bottle and adds 2 extra ozs of formula in case she needs it, sometimes she does sometimes she does not.
