Anyone have the Bumbleride Indie Twin?

What do you think of it?

I tested it out last night (a friend of mine has it) and DD actually was smiling in it! Usually we can't even get her into a stroller LOL. It was super easy to maneuver one handed (bonus for me for traveling alone.. though am I even going to do that, ever, w/ 2u2?!). So light to push, great basket, etc...AND it's actually compatible w/ the Chicco Keyfit.

The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't have a tray for the kids.

My friend loves it but I'm still not sure I want to spend that much on a stroller since DD#1 doesn't particularly like being in one. But at the same time, I feel like what else can I do but put her in a stroller w/2 because whether I'm pushing or wearing #2, I won't be able to keep up w/ #1 running around like crazy everywhere like she does...

The only other stroller I'm considering right now is the Joovy Ergo Caboose that turns into a sit and stand later. But I don't know if that one will be as practical/easy to push and I can't find it anywhere in-stores to test out.

FWIW, I mainly want a double stroller for walks around the neighborhood, the zoo, trips to Target, library, etc.. I don't plan on going to the mall a lot w/ 2 so I'm not too worried about getting through narrow clothing isles with it.

Re: Anyone have the Bumbleride Indie Twin?

  • I have the single Indie and am hoping to get the Twin version as well. ?I LOVE IT. ?LOVE it. ?It's perfect for all the things you mentioned- we use it for daily walks (neighborhood and some dirt/rocky paths), Target or other long shopping trips, etc. ?DS seems very comfortable in there and I loved that I could use it without the infant seat from day 1. ?(I'm not sure if the double is the same way, but the single reclines nearly fully.)

Bumblerides are SO well made and the customer service from the company is awesome. ?I couldn't figure out the fold at first (my bad, not theirs) and they spent 20 minutes on the phone with me and then emailed me to follow up and make sure I had it figured out.?

  • I don't have it, but I am looking into it after seeing it at the park and talking to the dad that had it.  I am having a hard time with strollers; each time I find one I like, I find something else.  I started with the BOB Revolution, then was pretty sold on the Baby Jogger City Classic, until I saw the Bumbleride.  Unfortunately, each of them goes up on the price scale Sad

  • I loved it too, but I wanted it to match my car seat and none of the colors this year did...tried really hard to find last year's model in brown, but couldn't get it!  I even ordered it from 2 websites only for them to eamil me later and say it was out of stock!

I do have a friend in my mom's group that did get one (a 2008 version) and had a lot of problems with folding it and the company sent her a new frame, but it took several weeks to get.

I ended up with the Baby Jogger City Classic.

  • I have the single Indie.  I can't comment about the logistics of the double but I can attest to their FANTASTIC customer service, quality and craftsmanship.  There are two material possessions in this world that I'm in love with: my Bumbleride indie stroller and my Mac computer.  DD is in it everyday -- we go everywhere on foot (I live in LA near the beach).  My sister just got one and a friend of mine just got the twin -- they are both smitten, as well.  GO FOR IT!!!  You won't be sorry :)
  • We have it but haven't used it yet.  I'm in love with it though and it was the only stroller in which DS cried when we took him out of when we were trying out strollers.  He loved it too and that was majorly important to me!  I can't wait to use it.  I did get the 2008 version though since I found it on sale for a great price.  It wasn't hard to put together and I think my only issue will be getting used to the folding and unfolding of it but I think it will be easier once I'm not pregnant anymore vs. trying it out when I have a huge belly!

ETA:  You can buy snack trays for it.  They are about $40 each although I've been searching for a sale.  I'm going to get one for DS for right now and then I'll wait a few months to get one for DS #2.
