I figure even if the pineapple doesn't move anything along, at least I will be stuffing my face with yummy cake... and probably some vanilla ice cream.  Not to mention my house smells awesome

This is the EASIEST recipe ever...

Set the oven to 350 degrees.   Get a 13x9 pan and grease it.  Dump in one can of crushed pineapple (20 oz) and one can of cherry pie filling.  Then dump one box of yellow cake mix right on top and cut up a stick of a butter in slices.  Place the slices on top of the cake mix.  Dont mix the cake mix in, just spread it on top of the the cherry pineapple mix.  Bake for 30-45 minutes until the cake has absorbed into the fruit mix and is a light golden brown.  It's INCREDIBLE.
