So, this marks the first month my DH and I are going to TTC. The first time we got KU, was very, very, very much a surprise- right before we got married. Two weeks after our wedding, I had a m/c.
So.... I used the bump fertility chart to find our most fertile days for this month. Has anyone else used this? I also purchased the First Response ovulation predictor kit. Are they reliable? Also, if we use the bump fertility chart, it gives you a six day window of when you can O with one day highlighted inparticular. Having frequent sex those days on the calendar, will my husbands sperm count not be as good and instead should be have sex fewer times to increase our chances???
Thanks to everybody and good luck!
Re: TTC
Hi Wags!
Most importantly... you need to start charting your BBT. (Basal Body Temp)... you can google it to get some good info... but definitely check out www.fertilityfriend.com or www.tcoyf.com
I wouldnt trust the bump fertility chart, go by your BBT and cm (cervical mucus) to judge when you may be ovulating. OPKs (ovulation prediction kits) help a lot too. I've alwasy used the cheapies or the digital ones that have the little smiley face... remember to take them in the afternoon
Your DH (Darling Husband)'s sperm shouldn't be lowered after 2-3 days of daily sex, unless he already has an issue with sperm count or morphology. Some doctors say have sex every other day from CD11-CD21 just to be safe. It's really up to you.
Good Luck!
Mindy's right on. Also, the fertilityfriend.com site has a tutorial that's a good intro. I recommend you check it out! If you're looking for more info, check out the book "Taking charge of your fertility".
You said it sista! Good luck!!!
