Breakthrough bleeding/spotting on Nuvaring (warning: TMI)

So I posted a week or 2 ago that I got my first PP AF at 6 weeks PP, and inserted Nuvaring that Sunday (per OB's instructions). AF lasted a few days and about a week later, I started spotting for a few days. I figured I need to adjust to being on BC, etc. Well, I just went to the bathroom and I have that brown discharge/dry blood type stuff...no warning or anything! I didn't even feel "wet" or anything! But it's more than just spotting! Has this happened to anyone the first month on BC? I was on the pill (Yaz & Loesterin) for like 10 years before getting PG and never had this happen. I dont' think it's directly related to Nuvaring, but more to PP hormones???

my friend was on the pill and then switched to the ring and she said she bled the whole time she was on it so she switched back to the pill. hopefully it is just the hormones ! GL

i was on nuvaring for about 6 years and i had breakthrough bleeding/spotting at least 3 or 4 months out of the year...sometimes it would end up being 2 full blown periods in one month

Just FYI... I got pregnant with DS on the nuvaring.  I didn't have any breakthrough bleeding though.  Maybe that's a sign it wasn't working....
