so i posted yesterday about my hefty CD order (13 covers, 36 flats, and 4 fitteds)... i was going to stop there.
today is a new day. i have fell victim to the fluffy cuteness again, and can not resist temptation for the life of me.
i ordered 3 more covers, 6 doublers, 3 dozen wipes, and 6 more fitteds. however, i am totally set on diapers through size medium... maybe.
how do i make it stop? please help me gain some self control ![]()
i need a CD annonymous group or something... this is sad.
Re: im in deep trouble.
I can't tell from the tone of your post if you really truly need to stop, or if this is just the aftermath of those CD-buying binges so many of us seem to go through
If you seriously want to stop, look only at the dollar amount you've spent. Not what you've gotten for it, not how cute it is, just the raw $. Now put that number in terms of your monthly grocery budget, your car payment, the cost of that chair you're dying to buy but can't justify, adopting or sheltering an animal or twelve from your local shelter...whatever is that generally gets you in the gut and makes you think. It's how I keep myself from spending all my time at DSW

i really think i need to stop... but also, i went on a binge.. who knows?!?
at the same time, i hear what youre saying. however.... all of our bills are paid for the month, i dont spend much money on groceries (FI is working til november, so its just me), i recently adopted a new beagle from the humane society named obie, hes precious (kinda funny that you should mention that), and i cant justify not spending the money on my baby girl!!
oh well - i guess there is always diaper swappers when im done to try and regain this money i could be putting into savings
personally, i really do see nothing wrong with the spending if you can.....it's not "technially" hurting anything.....I used to spend WAY more money on clothes, shoes, and purses....so the cloth diaper obsession I have is WAY less expensive, haha! Plus, the resale value is pretty good too.
That being said, I like to use my rule that if I want to buy something, I have to sell something. We do this for all of our clothing and shoes too to keep our closets from becoming jam packed.
