Success after IF

hey itsmevkb~

Hey I had my U/S this am, and  I can say it was better then the last day 6 ultrasound I had with my last protocol.  So when I went in last week for my first basleine follie count i showed only a total of 5 folliciles..  now, after stimming, i show 6,  but most of them are "small" i guess meaning not measurable as of yet, under 10, but i did show two that were, one was 12 one was 13.... Now this time last cycle, i showed NONE growing as of yet and ended up after 11 days of stimming getting 4, so i guess my odds look better this time..
howEVER I just got a call with my estrogen level, it was still at 44, about what it was BEFORE i started the stims 6 days ago..  what does that mean?? why have my E2 levels not changed??

what were your levels at day 6, did they rise MUCH from the time you when you went in for your baseleine?  help!!   I know you said you had not many follies like i did intially, and even in the end, so i was wondering if your E2 level was slow to rise as well?

Re: hey itsmevkb~

  • That is great news that you have more follies than the last time around.  I wish I could tell you what happened with my E2 levels but I never asked what they were and my RE never told me.  I didn't want to have to worry about them so I choose just not to know what they were.  Did they adjust your meds at all?  As your follies grow your E2 should go up.  Of course, you don't want it going up too much because that means your're over stimulated (not normally an issue with us poor responders).

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
