Cesearean question

I recently had a c-section, my first baby. It has been less than ideal and I am so disappointed. Anyways, it's been a month and I still have this numb area above my incision. My friends tell me this is normal. Is this the case w/ any of you? How long does it take for the feeling to come back? Some people have told me never, but  I don't know what to believe....

Re: Cesearean question

  • Yes, I had the numb sensation for what seemed like FOREVER (months maybe?)  I actually never noticed when it went away but it is gone now:-)  I can feel everything in that area- obviously the scar is still there, but the nerves have also returned.  DS is 2 and I am pregnant with #2 and planning a VBAC.

  • Mine doesn't quite feel numb, but it doesn't feel normal either.

  • After my first c-section, the area around my incision...maybe 2-3 inches around, never regained any feeling and about 6 or so inches up just felt weird and still does.

I haven't had a c/s yet but do have the same bikini cut from surgery, and I agree with mieuxmieux. Although I got prego right after surgery so didn't have time to heal before my uterus started growing. Don't know if that affected it.
