So, I know that pregnant women are supposed to avoid lunch meat, but we got coupons recently in the mail for Arby's, and I can just imagine how good an Arby's roast beef sandwich would taste. ?Is lunch meat safe if it's as warm as they make it there?

    A little lunch meat now and then won't hurt you.

    I just had Arby's for lunch. It's not really healthy, but it is tasty. :)

    I think so! I've been eating Arbys!  I think i read that it has to be heated until it was steaming. and it's usually that warm when you get it!!  I say go for it!! YUMMYBig Smile

    The more dangerous lunch meats are the ones that are processed and put into a casing, like salami and bologna.  I was told that some meants are perfectly fine to eat cold like turkey, roast beef, etc.  So I'm sure Arby's will be fine!  Enjoy :)

    arbys is fine!!! I just ate a mcdonalds filet o fish ... which isnt much better lol if not worse!

    I  had it for lunch last Friday. :) Not the most nutritional choice, but it's fine.

    My baby sister worked at Arby's while she was pregnant. She ate it almost everyday. Her baby is fine.... he's a fat baby, but fine :) lol

    The problem with lunch meat is listeria (a bacteria) . Any restaurant is held to strict storage and handling guidelines by the health department.

    I wouldnt worry about it coming from Arbys/Subway etc. (especially if you get a warm or toasted sandwich) I think what they worry about is the stuff sitting in your fridge from the grocery store for several days..... long enough for the bacteria to multiply.

    OMG I love Arbys!  Roast Beef and Cheddar is the best!  Their sandwiches are always warm so it shouldn't be a problem.
