how many ozs was little one eating at 5 weeks?

My LO usually takes 3.5 ozs every three hours or so..My friend whos baby is 6 months old said thats to much..her son is only taking 5 ozs....Just curious..TIA

I think that sounds about right. every baby is different if your baby is taking those 3 oz fine and is happy don;t listen to your friend. my baby is 11 weeks tomorrow and eats 5 sometimes 5.5oz!!

My LO was the same way-4 oz at 5 or 6 weeks.  Everyone else with 2-3 month olds who were eating the same said it was way too much.

DS is a hoss and was eating 3-4oz at 5 weeks.

Every baby is different. My son took about 4oz maximum at 5 weeks (about every 3 horus).

You cannot overfeed babies at this age. They know when they are hungry and some babies are just really hungry! Don't listen to your friend, you know your own baby and what he needs. Also our pedi said that some babies take 6 months to work up to 30-40 oz per day while others get there within weeks after birth and then plateau at that amount until they start solids. Feed your baby when he's hungry and you can't go wrong.
