Does it bother you when a stranger?

touches you LO? Sometimes it drives me crazy in a store or church and other times I don t care. I guess my big issue is just dont touch her hands and face. And don t cought then want to touch all over her. It grossed me so out yesterday but I kept my mouth shut. This sickly old lady with a used Kleenex in her hand was loving all over K yesterday in Target. i finally had to pick her up and move to another part of the store. YUCK. Anyway

Does it drive you nuts when a stranger touches you child

or no big deal.

  • Some random weirdo in a store?  Yes, it would bother me.  But it's actually never happened.

At church it used to happen a lot.  But it was good for my career, so I didn't mind.  ;)

  • Ohh pastor JADE thats really cool!
  • Every once in a while someone pats her head, which I usually don't mind too much.

Luckily, my DD is so clingy that she won't let people tocuh her. When she was a baby, if someone tried to touch her, I'd say, "Please don't touch my baby." I also refused to tell strangers her name. Or sometimes I'd lie.

I'm getting better, though I still hate it when people ask her name. But now that she's old enough to understand, I don't really know how to politely say, "It's none of your business." I know she'll repeat whatever I say and if she's every separated from us, I don't want her telling the police her name is none of their business!

  • People would try to touch DD all.the.time when she was a baby and it drove me NUTS!  Thank goodness it doesn't happen now that she's older.

  • it makes me skeeve when strangers touch Carsons face at any age.  soooo many germs transfer from hands to face, and i am not a germophobe either.
  • Like brightning's DD, my kids were so shy that they would flinch away from strangers touching them.  People got the message pretty quickly!
