I would love to try cloth diapers once LO arrives, but day care seems to be a major hurdle in that department. The consensus seems to be that providers are more flexible with gDiapers since they are flushable and the closest to a disposable.
Does anyone use gDiapers? What are your thought on the product and its quality?
TIA!
Re: Anyone use gDiapers?
I use them. I primarily use them with cloth inserts, but use the flushable inserts on occasion as well. I have found that flushing the inserts is a PITA, so we typically flush the poop then toss the inserts themselves. They biodegrade in 55 days, so I'm not concerned with throwing them in the trash.
You'll definitely want to check with your daycare provider to see what they would be willing to do as far as the inserts go.
Overall, I love gDiapers though. They were a great solution for us when we needed to switch from disposables at 13 months. Having the option of either using cloth inserts or the flushables is a great plus.
ETA: It seems like a lot of people don't like using gDiapers on newborns. I don't know if it's because they just don't fit well or if it is something else. We didn't start until DS was a toddler, so I don't have any experience with that.
