Re: S/O: What do you order DC at restaurant?

  • Depends on the restaurant. Usually she and I share whatever sounds good :)

  • DD usually shares my meal. If they have a bowl of fruit, I'll order that too. At Mexican restaurants, I usually get her a side flauta.

  • mac & cheese with whatever fruit or veggie they have.

Weare big on friendly's for our once a month out to dinner date and he gets a mac and cheese with broccoli and then a sundae

  • We usually share.  I sometimes will order steamed veggies or corn on the cobb.  But when I do order her food, its either mac & cheese or cheese quesadilla.
  • We'll usually order DS grilled chicken and whatever fruit comes with it.
  • We usually share whatever we're eating with her and then get a side order of fruit or applesauce.

  • It depends on the restaurant.  Most places we'll just order her a kid's meal of spaghetti, mac & cheese or chicken with veggies or applesauce.  We like Ruby Tuesday because I order the salad bar and she'll eat off my plate.
  • Ravioli, Spaghetti, Mac'n'Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Bagel w/cream cheese, scrambled eggs or breaded chicken

I try to get a side of fruit and I'll offer her some of my veggies, which she usually rejects.  Ever since she got more picky, it isn't worth it to try to make her eat what I want her to eat.  We only eat out 2-3 times a month and I want to enjoy my meal, so why would I make it a battle?

When she was younger, I would just share my food with her.  But her palette is so narrow right now that it was making me miserable to not be able to eat what I wanted to.

  • chicken fingers, fish sticks, pasta and butter, hamburger, grilled cheese.  DD usually eats 1/2 the meal for dinner, and we bring the leftovers home for lunch or dinner the next day.
  • Sometimes she shares what I have.  Sometimes she gets spaghetti and meat sauce, chicken fingers/fries, chicken stir fry with veggies.  It really depends on what they have to offer and the price of their meals.
  • we were good with spaghetti marinara and veggies mixed in for quite awhile.  Then she was in a mac n cheese love affair.  Now - I have no idea what she will eat.

I like Sweet Tomatoes because I just load up a plate of veggies for her and I think she eats the best when we go there.  Of course, we eat the worst!

  • the usually stand-bys are chicken fingers, fries, hamburgers, spaghetti or ceasar salad.
