As long as you want, but I would just pay attention to what baby is doing in terms of when he/she is feeding. Probably averages to every 3 hours or so? I would just pump every 3 hours (no more than 4) when you go back to work. That should be enough.
I still do, but it's much more 'predictable' now. He eats at roughly 3 hour intervals during the day (longer at night of course) and so I just try to match my pumping at work to be about 3 hours apart too. We've been back to work/daycare for a couple months now and he's very predictable on the 9 am, noon, 3 pm, 6 pm feeding schedule give or take a few minutes either way.
I did until after DD started daycare at 12 weeks. She was still fed on demand at home but kind of fell into a routine anyway. I don't think I'd try to force a routine, but I'd start writing down feeding times just to see if she's falling into any sort of routine on her own.
