How do these names sound together to you?

I don't really want "matchy" names for my sons, but I'd like names that sound NICE together at least.

Our first is Samuel (Sammy) and my husband is really hellbent on Desmond (Desi) now. What do you guys think? Are they too different?

Our (my and my husband's) names are Jen(nifer) and Bryan. Pretty boring!

Ironically I knew a Sam Desmond growing up. Anyway, I don't love Desmond but it could grow on me. I think Desi sounds like a girls nn for Desiree. So I don't know how I feel about it. Sam and Desmond sound fine together (but I'm having a hard time separating it from "FN-LN" since I knew that kid...

Sounds fine to me. I like Desmond. You could also call him Des if you think Desi is too close to Sammy.

Desmond is nms, but I especially don't like the nickname Desi for a boy. I have only heard that as a nickname for a girl.

I like your son's name a lot, but really dislike Desmond. I don't think they go together. Thomas (Tom/Tommy) or Jonathan (Jon/Jonny) sound better.
