So, we got to the appointment late because my mom didn't realize Scholls Ferry was having some sort of construction or something I guess and so traffic was awful and she was late coming. So they wouldn't see us at the regular time. They rescheduled for 4pm. I was like great, now I get to worry more the rest of the day. But we went to the appointment and she did all the regular check up stuff. She's now 9lbs 1.5oz and 22 inches long.

YAY! She was 7lbs 9oz and 20inches long a month ago. Growing good. Doctor said everything looks great. Except apparently, if you lay them on their backs too much, it causes flattening of their heads. Info I did not know. 'Cause her head is getting flat in the back and I didn't know why, figured it was just weird. So I have to do a lot more tummy time and hold her more so she's not flattening it anymore. Weird. Never heard of that. Anyway...she got her oral medication and she loved it. I don't know why but she LOVES taking medicine. Guess it takes good?? lol. Then it was time for the shots. The nurse was really nice and she kind of shielded her so that she wouldn't see me as she poked and think I was the bad one. She did it very fast, one in the left leg and two in the right. Kayleigh let out the loudest screams and I instantly got tears. I felt awful. But as soon as she was done she was like "Save her mom!" and I picked her up and cuddled her and she cried about 3-5 more minutes and then started falling asleep and that was that. No fevers at all, nothing went wrong. She was in a little pain later in the night so I gave her .4 of baby tylenol and it cheered her right now. Today she was totally herself and smiling again and happy. She didn't sleep anymore than usual, but I guess she sleeps a lot anyway so it's not a big deal. I'm just glad everything went okay. Now I have to wait 2 months and do it all over again. DH is going to that appt. I said I can't be the bad guy all the time, she has to see him there too.
Re: Update on the shots/2mth appt
Oh my gosh! That will be so hard! I am not looking forward to it at all!
