THIS!!!  I couldn't believe no one had brought this up yet!  What type legitimate teaching certification could this person have passed?  Even without the ridiculous IM language, the sentences are a blur of fragments and run ons.  I know that she is probably not an English teacher, but basic communication skillls should be a primary requirement for any teaching position!

Maybe you can't relate to the way her DH is acting, so you can't have any empathy for her.  She should be able to come in here and vent just like the rest of you. And quite honestly her vent is a lot more legitimate then others I read in here. Maybe she didn't express herself as mature as some others, but so what?

Give her a break. Maybe she's really young and immature. Maybe she grew up in an environment where using the word "gay" like this is acceptable for this example. I have gay friends and even someone gay in my family, but I'm not going to get all butthurt because she said a name was "gay". This society has gotten too damn PC. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

 

This. My best friend is gay and so is my cousin....neither get offended when someone says "that's gay" or some other sentence similar to that. I don't think its that huge of a deal. I knew what she meant.
