NBR: My brother just got pulled over

For speeding, but he didn't get a ticket with a fine, only a court date and he has to appear.  What's that all about?  I thought they just gave fines for speeding.  I've never heard of that.  Anyone know about that?

    How much over the limit was he going? I think that if you are like 25 mph over they make you go to court. CA is weird because they give you a citation and then mail you a ticket later with a court date or fine amount for everything.

    My Hubby got pulled over a few months back for Driving Too Slow!! WTH?? Aparently he was doing 35 in a 50,The cop gave him a ticket but,it wasn't for the speed.My better half didnt realize his registeration ran out 3months before so hes gotta go to court for an unregistered vehicle.I'm hopin the fine isnt that much lol
