I'm pretty sure there are no songs about Tanner. I can't think of any w/ Emma. Sometimes songs aren't always the best...I grew up w/ "867-5309/Jenny". Listening to the words, Jenny isn't a good thing in it.
"Lorelei" by Styx. I don't think I have ever heard it, but I know my friend told me that she heard it on the radio the day after I gave birth to her. Apparently the song is about how excited the guy is that Lorelei is moving in with him.
Oh how could I not mention "Abigail" by King Diamond.
Actually when I was pg with Lor we were between names Lorelei and Abigail. My DH is a huge King Diamond fan (a heavy metal singer from band MercyfulFate) and loved the idea of Abigail b/c of this song. We went back and forth and when Lor was born felt she was a Lorelei. When we had Abby we were again between names and our L&D nurse was Abigail and when we saw her felt Abigail fit. Supposedly SIL's BF heard "Abigail" played the next day on the radio - hmmm, sounds familar huh? Most likely not since King Diamond is rarely heard on the radio, unless you have XM/Sirius (which her BF does not have).
Re: Poll re:songs with your child's name in them
No and probably not likely unless Malia Obama becomes REALLY popular.
I do change up the Brooks and Dunn version of My Maria.

The group Jefferson Airplane is my claim to fame;)
There is a song, Kate, by Ben Folds Five.
Gracie -Ben Folds
Julia -Beatles
and there are songs with my DD1's name in them but none that are terribly appropriate for a kid.

My DD's name is Mary Catherine. She is pretty convinced Mary Had a Little Lamb was written just for her.

I don't think so for Nathan or Kaitlyn. But
"Alison" by Elvis Costello (spelled a bit different)
LOL - same here!
