baby cereal question

How do/did you mix cereal?  I've always either used bm or formula to make the cereal and then I would either feed it like that or mix in some fruit.  Am I missing something, or can I just mix the dried cereal into a jar of fruit and skip the formula or bm?

 Sorry, I have never thought of doing it this way.

I did bm and then started doing a mixture of baby apple juice/water.  I do occassionally mix it with just fruit now, but he has started refusing it after a few bites. SO, now we are having to start trying new things for breakfast.

I started with mixing it with bm. Then I graduated to adding bm and real fruit juice. He wasn't on cereal for very long.

yes, and heated it up a bit. it was a big hit with my son!

I mixed it with bm (now formula) and then added a little fruit/veggies after they got the hang of eating from a spoon.  After a while we went for just straight fruits and veggies.
