OMG, we cannot get DS there on time for anything! I don't know why it's so hard. I really miss "summer" when he was at camp there and could come at any time. He's 4 y/o now and really needs to be there for circle time every day so he can learn to sit and listen a little better. Why do they have to be so prompt!? LOL!
If you can't tell, I'm really struggling getting back into the swing of things now that the new school year has started. I'm really psyched about having 15+ more years of this!
Re: I wish preschool started at 9 vs. 8:30
Once again, we have the same kid. I can't get her out of bed or out of the house. I sometimes joke that she's trying to get me fired.
Someone told me the other day to plan an HOUR to leave the house. Like, the actual process of leaving the house could quite possibly take an hour.
I'm usually up before 5 these days, and that still doesn't happen.
I wake him up at 7:30 to leave at 8:30 and he's usually not even done with breakfast by 8:30 much less dressed. Slowest.eater.ever!
I know I need to wake him earlier, but he doesn't nap anymore. Getting him to go to bed on time is impossible. I
summer and summer camp! =(

Oh, and LOL @ DuffOliver "plan on an hour to leave the house." Right. It takes at least an hour for us to get out of the house, and that is with ONE kid, two parents (DH helps by packing her lunch while I feed her breakfast), and me not really needing to get "ready" (I work from home, so I throw on some clothes and brush my teeth and I'm ready).
I can only imagine how it would be with two parents who both need to get dressed for work, and two (or more!) kids.
