My lo is going to be one on saturday and I am so stressed out about getting rid of the bottle he doesn;t seem to want/like the sippy cup. He still takes 4 bottles a day..any ideas please help..
Why do you have to get rid of the bottle at 1? Just let him go at his own pace. My guy is 14 months and still drinks 5 bottles a day and only takes sips of water from the sippy cup. If he's still doing that at 2, I may get worried but right now, I don't think it's a big deal if they still prefer the bottle over the sippy.

I think I am just stressed. I just need someone to come shake me and say it will b ok whatever I do..
I hear you. Don't make it a stressful thing. When he is more interested, try doing one sippy of milk a day...as he eats more solids he will drink less milk and that will make it easier. Right now the bottle is still probably a comfort for him (I know it is for my DS) and there's no reason to make a sudden change if he doesn't seem receptive.
At 14 months, my kids were drinking 30 oz/day out of bottles. We went on vacation, and because it was a total PITA to clean bottles we ended up dropping 2 of them during the trip. They got their last bottles somewhere around 19 months.
Ruby still has 3 bottles a day. We could probably drop one right now, but I'm still more worried about calories and nutrition than dropping bottles... No worries!
My DD converted to all sippys when she was about 16 months. I wouldn't worry about the bottles. Just continue to let them practice with the sippy. My DD mastered drinking out of a sippy with a straw and 16 months and then wanted nothing but that. I got rid of the bottles cold turkey at that point.
We're transitioning very slowly... he still gets bottles (with Next Step formula) twice a day (morning and night) and whole milk in a sippy with meals, and water in between if it's hot out.
The only thing that's been suggested to us is milk in sippies, formula in bottles, to help differentiate... no formula in sippies or milk in bottles, if that makes sense.
We've been slowly removing formula (and hence, bottles) from his day since he turned 1... I'm in no hurry... and I'm not stressing about him getting enough liquids this way either!
why are you getting rid of the bottle? some babies take the bottle up to two years old... remember the pictures of Suri Cruise? don't feel any pressure. do it when your LO is ready to transition.
When you do want to get rid of the bottle, maybe experiment with different sippy cups. I remember that I went through a couple brands before I found one that my son seemed to like.
You could also try to do one sippy cup a day. Then when he gets the hang of it, go to two, etc. It would be a gradual change and he would still be getting the bottles for part of the day.
Re: Can you guys give me some ideas

Don't stress about that, of all things!
It will be okay!!!

Just some ideas.
