Just curious. Not pg and not looking for names. Just curious what others think of the name for a little girl today. It was pretty popular back in the early 1900's. I like older names and wonder which ones could make it in todays time.
First thought was a new computer company or internet provider
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

It is a real name. I work in a nursing home and it is one of the residents names. Nothing agains me if you dont like it. I think I have just gotten attatched to the woman. Does that ever happen to anyone else? Have a name you dont like, but meet someone with it and like them, and sort of get used to the name to the point where to think you may like it? (holy run on sentence)
Never heard of it before and NMS ... I have been thinking of 'back in the day' names myself and remembered my great-grandfather's name was Montague. Isn't it interesting how names have changed so much? DH has a grandmother named Ethel ... no thanks to that either.
But you are so right, people will associate the name with who they know. If it has special meaning to you, use it. It will grow on people once they meet your LO.
It sounds like a muppet character, not sure why, but that just pooped into my head
I totally agree that when you care for someone, their name grows on you. Positive association. I was never a fan of the name Adelaide until my best friend named her daughter this. She is such a little love, and I have such good associations with the name, that now I love it!

I know a lady named Mozelle...she is the most sweetest caring person ever. She is probably in her 70's or 80's now but this name brought back amazing memories...She lives 12 hours away and took care of me when I was a tot. I miss her so much...
I responded to your other post, but for the benefit of people on this board... there's a river that goes through Luxemburg, Germany & France called the Moselle. I'd bet that the name Mozelle is derived from it.
I think it's a pretty name, but I prefer the 's' intead of the 'z'.
I thought of the wine from the Moselle region. I think it looks too much like Mozilla to use in modern day, but I do agree that a name can grow on you from positive associations!
My first impression is that it looks made up...that and it reminds me of the Mosel River in Germany. Not bad, but not something I'd necessarily name a little girl after.
I worked at a nursing home that had a sweet lady named Mozelle. Her daughter worked there as a nurse and she was very sweet, too! NMS, but there seems to be a trend...everybody that's posted that knows/knew a Mozelle liked them!

I thought of "Movember" combined with "Gazelle". Yeah, I did. Plus the Mozilla thing. Moselle maybe isn't as bad... better if you have a French first or last name though.
If you really want to use it, I'd say use it as a middle name. It's cool to have an odd middle name because you don't have to live with it every day, but you're not "Marie" or "Anne" like everybody else.

Ditto
I thought this too but I agree your view of a name can change when you know someone with the name
