OMG..I can't imagine how thick the smoke must be in your area. We are in CO and getting the "second hand smoke" If I didn't know better, I would think we have a fire in our backyard too. Thinking of you.

As SBDC said, there are moments when it's pretty disgusting (e.g., DS's school is closed tomorrow b/c of poor air quality!), and others when it's perfectly fine - definitely depends on the winds.
Well, we live in a canyon. I can tell you the wind is blowing from the west and all the smoke is sitting in the valley. I am really serious...I can't believe they are saying all of this is from CA. You can even smell the smoke. There has got to be a real fire near us. So sad to hear about the firefighters who died. We lost 14 firefighters in '94. Hits home.
