F/U First day at new job.

I posted yesterday about today being my first day with a new company and how I though this would be a great move.  Well, let me tell you, I feel 100% confident in my decision.  Since I took a step back, my training I am going through is kind of boring and repetitive, but it was nice to be off in time to get home, make dinner, play with ds and give him a bath.  I am so happy that it will be like this from now on.  Also, the leaving work knowing I only have to be accountable for myself at work (at least for the time being) was a great feeling.  Maybe management in the new company will be around the corner someday, but for now I am glad I can try to figure out how to balance this crazy game called motherhood.

Congrats - I'm so glad you're happy with your decision. I know what you mean; I'm very happy with my job bc it's not super challenging right now. I do want to advance in the future but I need to figure it all out first. My boss asked me a few weeks back if I wanted to run an Operations group and I was like not right now.
