This is totally hypothetical, as we're not TTC again until next year...
... but I've always loved the names Juliet and Charlotte, and vetoed them originally because of our last name, which sounds kind of like "Garrett". But lately I've been thinking they might not sound so bad.
So now I'm curious... what do you think? Does one sound better than the other? Middle name would be something simple, like May.
Re: Too similar to last name? Opinions please!
Okay, first I must get past the extreme cuteness in your siggy pic to think.
Ahhh... okay. I think Juliet sounds better because its three syllables. Charlotte Garrett sounds a little harsh. DDs name is three syllables and our last name is two, which sounds right to me.
I like both, but Charlotte may sound better with your last name. My suggestion is keep saying them out loud to see which one grows on your more.
BTW- I LOVE your daughter's name Lyla Joy and may have to steal it when/if we have a little girl! so cute!
FYI, Shakespeare picked the last name Capulet for Juliet.
Juliet Capulet, Juliet Garrett...similar
Shakespeare knows a thing or two about how words sound, I'd trust him! ;-)
