I'm gonna have to get Rylee a new one I'm so tired of they way they treat me. They all look down on me. And I always get different information from every doctor there the older ones say to give her over the counter cold medicine and the new ones say not to do it at all. So now the hunt is on. how did you pick yours?

Re: how did you pick your pedi?
We were new in town, so we didn't have anyone to give us a recommendation.
I picked ours because she teaches pediatrics at the University of Arizona, so I figured she'd be more "up" on current research, etc. She also has an extra certification in pediatrics.
She also is affiliated with a hospital that I like.
I got lucky... actually, I just looked up who was in my insurance network and I picked an office close to home. I interviewed a doctor in the office and liked him so I decided to go with him. Then, he left the practice and I got switched to the other doctor in the office and I like that doctor even better!
Maybe someone on your local baby board can give you a rec.

I decided to go with the one at the hospital! I hadn't found one I really liked, so I was just going to take her to my family doctor. Then, I met the pedi there and liked him. We went until DD1 was 18mo, then I switched.
His hours weren't that great compared to others. Once, I had to be sent to the ER because of a rash....at 4pm. Then, 2 of the doctors left and he started having visits with an NP instead. Not that I mind for a simple visit, but, geez, my DD wasn't eating or swallowing or gaining weight. I want to see a DR.
Then, there was the infamous stroller incident and I decided I needed a place with better hours that had better access.
I LOVE my new pedi. I called the place and asked for a female (since I have all girls) and they recommended this doctor and I've been happy with them ever since.
Except for the billing. They've messed up many times. My parents are both medical billers, so I understand here and there, but these mistakes were just stupid and recurrent. It's always been fixed, but it's been fixed after 2-3hrs of phone calls on my part.
I deal with it though because I'm really happy there.
We started with a pedi that came very highly recommened. I did not like the info that his office gave us regarding DD's RSV at 2 weeks. (Everyone gave different info.
I LOVED the pedi we had in the hospital. I know him on a professional level too. He's wonderful and the choice was clear.
