wdyt re bday party?

my dcs bday is in december and we are going away. we were thinking about having his party a month before his actual bday b/c of thanksgiving and weddings we have the weeks before his bday. Do you think that's ok? To have a party a month before his actual bday? I can't do after either b/c my niece's bday is after my son's and then it's christmas.

I think it is fine.  My son's is Dec 23.  Imagine how hard that one is to schedule.  And we have 10 family bday's from Halloween until his bday.  I always schedule it about 2 weeks before.  It's fine.  I am sure if anything people appreciate it.

how old is your child?  I would just skip it if he/she is young enough not to mind.  A month early seems like a long time to me.  But we're not really into bday parties yet (DS is only 3).
