Whew!

Today has been a busy day! Usually Mondays are my "easy" days (as far as cleaning goes) but today is DH's birthday, and we have family coming into town this weekend to help me finish with painting the nursery. So...as soon as I woke up this morning I got to work on my chores for the day. Then I put away the Pack 'n' Play that's been holding miscellaneous items in the nursery since we got it, along with putting the things I'd taken from the nursery's closet up onto the 3rd floor for storage. After that, I started DH's cake and cleaned up the kitchen a bit. I sat down for a quick bite to eat, then got the cake out of the oven to cool and started dinner. Now dinner's in the oven for another 10 minutes or so..and all of this to be done with everything by the time DH got home from work. Now I find out he still hasn't been able to leave work (he usually gets to leave by 4). Oh well...just goes to show that the best laid plans...lol. Poor DH, though. Sucks having to work late on your birthday.

Oh yeah...and his present came in the mail today. He knows what it is, but I wrapped it anyway.
