oy...possibly pg w/#3...need some support!

Cycles are usually 27 days, sometimes (rarely) 28.  We're going on a 30-day cycle here, but we did do a ton of traveling during the month of August and I know that can throw things off.  I know, I know...take a test!  I did that.  I had a 3-pack in the drawer, as a matter of fact, which I used up between today and yesterday.  Here are the results of the tests:

#1 - invalid because I took it without reading the directions...not only did I not hold the pee stick completely down while putting the cap back on (sigh), but I moved the test a little while it was developing.  Very faint plus sign.

#2 - negative

#3 (taken this morning) - VERY faint plus.  Still no period.  Tests are God knows how old so I made DH get another test for me today, which I will be taking tomorrow morning.

I keep freaking out.  We already have two kids and this third would be a TOTAL surprise.  And I mean surprise.  With the first two, we knew it could happen, and weren't too surprised when it did...this child must be a freaking miracle (if I am really pg) because we took precautions not to get pregnant.

Our lives are so easy right now...Ava is almost 4, and Logan is 2 and 1/2.  They are at such a great stage and adding a brand-new baby to the mix scares and excites me.  On one hand, we're so free as a family to do what *we* want to do - on the other, the kids would love a new baby and I know our families would be thrilled.  I am just torn right now...

Anyone with three or more, please calm my nerves a little.  :)  I guess I'll be posting again tomorrow if I do get a lovely BFP. :)

  • What brand of tests are they? Several people have gotten false +s from Target blue dye tests.

  • They were the Equate (from Wal-Mart) three-in-a-pack tests.  Again, not sure how old they were...at least a few months.  I wonder what the shelf life is on pg tests?  I couldn't find an expiration date.

  • Methinks you are pg!  I can't help b/c we have 2, but are ttc #3.  Good luck!

  • I have 3 kids--almost 5, 2.5 & a 3mo old.  It's been wonderful...busy, tiring at time, but such a blessing.  My littlest is the sweetest, easiest, most laid back baby in the world though.  After 2 challengin babies, this one is letting me know how the other half lives--LOL!  And my oldest 2 adore, adore, adore their baby sister.

  • I just got a very surprising bfp on Friday.  I am still a little in shock that we will have 3 children in the house!  But with each day the shock is a little less and we are starting to get excited.  It is not good timing for us, I just accepted a job.  But we will make it work.

I always take the digital tests because I hate the looking at a line trying to determine if I think it is a line.  Good luck, I am sure whatever the result, it will all work out.

  • Good luck!   Hugs!  Those Wal-Mart test were always right for me (no evaps).   I am in the same camp as the pp, if its meant to be, it will be...and it will all work out!

  • I love having a big family!!  We have 4 kids & I would love one more :)  Our 3 older kids ADORE our 10 month old DS.  It is so much fun to watch them fall all over him!  I think the best present you can give your children is a sibling...and multiple siblings is even better!  If you can handle 2 kids, 3 will be no problem.  It was MUCH harder going from 1 to 2 children than it was going from 2 to 3 or 3 to 4.  GL!

  • This is going to sound awful, but I barely even notice DD3.  I also think the 1-2 was much harder than the 2-3.

She just kind of slides into the chaos and blends in with everything else.

Truthfully, once you've had toddlers, newborns seem simple!

    Good luck!

  • omg...you ladies are so awesome. :)  Thanks so much for the positive feedback!  I am still scared sh!tless but everything will work out.  thanks again everyone!
