So every time I pump, I find that I am getting WAY more milk on my right side - like, 2.5 to 3 oz compared to the 1 to 1.5 oz I get on the left. Is there anything I can do to bump up production on the other side? Or is this just sort of par for the course?
Not sure it really matters in the end, but if it concerns you, I would think you could pump/nurse more on that side to stimulate more milk. Or if your LO has a big gap between two of the feedings, you can pump only on the smaller productive side. HTH Nursing Mother's Companion may be able to give you more advice, as would an LC or the La Leche League
are you doing compressions while pumping/nursing? i have the same issue, but found that if i do breast compressions while i was pumping, i get another oz. at least...
