How do you determine when you are due?

Or how far along you are?

By the 1st day of your last period

By the approx. date you O'd or

By the approx date you O'd and the date you had sex?

My 1st doctor's appt. isn't until next week (Thursday).

    first day of last period.  go back 3 months and 7 days.

    ETA - sorry, it's add 7 days.

    I just googled "due date calculator".  I think the ones I used went by LMP.

    I always just used one of those online calculators.  I made sure to input the date of my LMP because that is how my doc's office does it and I wanted to be consistent with them.

    I think I missed something!!! so CONGRATS!!! how exciting!!!!  My dr. went by the first day of my last period for both my boys.  With DS #1 they were pretty much right on target, he came a weeks early.. with DS#2 they moved my due date up a week because he was measuring so far ahead and then i had a repeat c-section so he came two weeks before my "original" due date, but he was 8 pounds 4 oz!!! can't imagine how big he would of been if i would of had him 2 weeks later!

    If you know your "O" date, that will give you the most accurate due date based on that.  The generic calculations for due dates that the doc's office does are fine if you "O" on day 14 of your cycle like clockwork.  I, however, don't.  I "O" later in my cycle, thus my kids EDD are always off according to the doc, but I know the real EDD based on my dates. (Our second child was born 11 days after her generic EDD & our 4th child was born 8 days after his generic EDD but my dates were closer to their birthdates based on my "O" date).

     It's just nice to know when you're really due, especially if you do "O" late...so then you don't think your baby is overdue & get frustrated towards the end of your pregnancy.  You can find due date calculators based on "O" date if you google it.
