Using a Laxative

So my poor DS has been totally constipated for a few weeks. The dr has agreed that nothing "natural" seems to be working so we are going to try a little Miralax. If you have tried a laxative with your LO, how did you administer it? Pedi said to give it in his bottle but I wasn't thinking when I talked to her that he is mostly bf-ed so I was thinking of giving it to him in his food.

    we tried karo syrup and that seemed to work (1/2 tsp per ounce of bottle)

    We used Little Tummies laxative a couple of months ago when DS was really stopped up.  It seemed to work great, and was definitely very gentle.  It took a few doses (it comes with a dropper, and that's how I gave it) but it did get everything moving eventually.

    My DS gets constipated too.  Our pedi suggested Glycerine Suppositories.  You can get them over the counter at the pharmacy and they work in MINUTES!!!  So be ready :)
