My dad passed away on August 29. Him and I have never been that close, however, he was my dad.

I need some good thoughts and vibes sent my way ladies. I'm the next of kin and have to make the arrangements, along with a few other things to do. He has 6 brothers and sisters who sometimes do not get along, but hopefully this will go as smooth as it can. TIA

Oh no! I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate though, I just lost my mom in February. I am sorry you and your dad weren't close.

Do you have any brothers or sisters? My sister and I planned all the arrangements for my mom and I am not sure I could have done it alone. One thing that made it easier is that we knew what her last wishes were for her burial, etc. Maybe he told someone in the family. Its a very hard thing to have to do but you can do it.

I am here for you if you ever want to talk. I know others on the board had gone through the same things. ((HUGS))

oh Kasie I'm SO sorry!!! I've been through this as a child (teenager actually) and it's very hard. I hope things go smoothly and each day gets better.

So sorry to hear that. My Dad passed away almost 2 years ago and he and I were only close for a few years before that. I hope everything goes smoothly and that differences can be put aside for a day to remember your father.
