  • I had to deal with the chief nurse at our hospital when I was on bed rest. ?Long story on why, but she was amazing. ?They usually are.. so hopefully it works out! ?She came when she heard I was in labor to check on me, and was actually the first person to give me an update on LO. ?Obviously she didn't have to do that, but she was amazing..?
  • That's so awesome!!  I hope you have great success!!!

  • just wondering what exactly are you trying to do? SWMcFarland and i are in a support group for moms of preemies. we are in the process of having a monthly meeting at the hospital for parents. we are working with the March of Dimes as well. i have learned a ton from this hospital and their volunteers www.stjohnsmercey.com (look for the nicu page) and the MOD family support project.

    good luck!

I think maybe you meant www.stjohnsmercy.com (no e before the y). They do have a great support group. this is the hospital where I had both my son's. Both times they were so helpful. We really didn't do too much w/ them b/c both our sons had very short stays in the NICU. They are called the NICUPS which is short for NICU parents. Every time we were at the NICU there was some one from the NICUPS walking around to see if anyone had questions or needed to talk etc. I think it's a great idea that you're starting a group in your area. Best of luck to you.
