Colostrum already?!

Hi everyone,

 

I'm 14.5 weeks along and for the last week or so I've noticed crusty nips. At first I thought they were just dry but upon closer inspection there was actually dried stuff (that didn't wash off in the shower) that I was able to kinda "dig out" with a wet q-tip. It was like a tan color. Not all of it could come out, there is some kinda deep in the fissure/nipple openings. 

Is this early colostrum or something? Can it happen this early??!!

I started leaking at 17 weeks and thought that was early. I would say yes, you are another one of the lucky ones. I wish it didn't happen, as some people never leak before the baby is born. I have to wash my bras after wearing them once or twice and it's a pain because I am constantly washing the same ones that I like to wear and like to do laundry just once or twice a week.

I find that I leak more on warmer days for some reason. It's not bad enough to need breast pads, so it could be worse.

It sounds more like dry skin to me, but I could be wrong...
