Please recommend your glider

I recently registered for a Dutailier, but when I got home and checked how much it was, I nearly fell off my couch! The one I registered for was 500 just for the glider, and another 189 for the ottoman.  I feel bad putting something that expensive on our registry, even though it was really comfortable! So I was wondering which glider everyone has and which you recommend.  TIA!

I don't know the brand, but I just bought a glider from Craigslist for $50. I'm just going to buy new cushions for it. I'm not sure exactly how much I'll use it, and this was one of the things I was willing to buy used.

I got a Shermag glider from BRU because I asked on here a while ago and it was a popular favorite that also wasn't overly expensive. We bought it ourselves because I didn't expect anyone to get it for us if we put it on a registry and we had a 20% off coupon at the time also.

Here is a link for the exact one we got. The color is "fern" but to me it looks more like a light tan color in person where as online it looks like a gray. It is very comfortable and comes with the ottoman. It costs $299 but they have it on sale for $269.99 (we paid a bit less with our coupon).

Baby Bargains recommends Little Castle. They have an update on their website about Walmart selling Little Castle gliders under the name Enchanted.

It's was previously mentioned on the nursery decor page a lot.

we decided to go a less expensive route and ordered a storkcraft glider/ottoman from BRU - it was under 200 for the set and the reviews that were there were pretty decent. I figure we'll only use it for 1-2 years so there was no point in spending 500 or more.

we have an upholstered Best Chairs glider & ottoman....so comfortable and looks like a real chair instead of a wooden glider.  it would have been around $700 for the set but we were able to get the chair at the JCP outlet for a great deal...$300 for both.  good luck picking...try to sit in it before you make a decision - it helps.
