First Are you pregnant question...

So I work in a bank in a grocery store so I somewhat know most of the employees that work there.  Well I was going down the freezer food aisle picking out lunch and the freezer guy asked me "so are you just putting on the pounds are is there a child in there?" well it's exciting that someone who didn't know noticed my belly...but I can't help but think what if I wasn't pregnant?!  That was a pretty bold question.  I told him yes I am pregnant but next time maybe he should word his question a little better in case the next lady he asks that is just putting on the pounds!

I can't believe people are still doing that in this day and age; like we don't know that people have different body types.   At least everyone at my job had the courtesy to ask my friends if I was pregnant before saying anything to me.

Yeah I'd be a bit uncomfortable, just because that's a really forward question, and what if you weren't? I'd say something like "Yes, I'm pregnant, but you may want to ask a bit nicer next time, or you may get frozen peas chucked at you." I'm 20 weeks, and no one has asked me if I am yet, and everyone who does know says I'm really tiny, but I feel huge!

wow he's very lucky you are pregnant and it sounds like you had a little bit of a sense of humor about it. Our waitress at lunch waited until i went to the bathroom and asked DH if i was. She said she asked a woman before when she was due and she said I AM NOT PREGNANT! The waitress told us if that woman wasnt pregnant then she had a big beer belly.
