My husband will occasionally read the Parents magazine I get for free right now (there was a post on here a couple weeks ago to get it free for a year!)
He has also been passed "The Expectant Father" from my BIL, it goes through the families as they each are "fathers-to-be"
He has not read it yet, but the other guys reccommended it.
I wish I knew the name of it, but DH just finished reading a book about this FBI agent (or something like that) that infiltrated the Hell's Angels. He LOVED the book. I have to check the title of it when I get home....
Another book he got that was really good was Why We Suck by Denis Leary (if he is into comedy/satire type books.)
He wants to read?! If so that's so great. I know that Target has a great selection for daddies-to-be. My fiance on the other hand just wants to play with the baby.
Do you mean a pregnancy book? My DH has a book called "be prepared: a practical handbook for new dads" by Gary greenberg and jeannie hayden. It's quite funny and written like a survival guide. It includes the basics like how to hold, pick up, change, sooth your baby and more ridiculous things like 'wrestling the breast pump' or 'reading sports illustrated to your baby' and 'rigging emergency diapers'. It really is quite clever and funny and written well for first time (terrified) dads.
But, if you mean simply a novel recommendation, then my DH is currently reading Life of Pi by Yann MArtel.
Baby related or non baby related? DH isnt reading any baby stuff...but he just finished No Angel, Hell's Angel, and one other biker book and is totally sucked into them. I read No Angel-actually pretty good stuff, very interesting.

My husband has really enjoyed and learned a lot from Pregnancy Sucks (for Men). There's a Pregnancy Sucks, which is geared toward women which I haven't read but looks good too. My DH is definitely not a reader, but has kept up with the weeks and has gained a TON of info. It's written in a funny, easy-to-read way and speaks directly to how the guys will be affected and can be involved.
My husband is reading "Expectant Father", and he likes it. He got a different father-to-be book first, and couldn't stand it--it was written by women but supposed to be in "men's language", and he though it was bordering of offensive with the whole "I am man, I am dumb" bit. Anyway, he likes Expectant Father a lot more. I think it's more about pregnancy and birth, not as much baby care stuff.
The LA Times. haha Sorry. I can't help. My bil gave my husband the What to Expect books but he never opened them. Thankfully my husband is a natural at fatherhood. I couldn't ask for a better parenting partner. This was from day one.

Yes, baby related. Sorry, I should have specified.
I think he wants to feel a little more involved, be prepared. This is his first. My DD is from a previous marriage.
I haven't bought any PG related books for DH yet. I may pick up something later on at some point, like a "what to do when _____ happens" type of book if there's something like that out there.
I found a book for my husband called your pregnancy for the father-to-be
by Glade B. Curtis, M.D., M.P.H. and Judith Schuler, M.S. its goes along with what I am reading only in man terms, he seems to love it he has read almost the whole thing
DH's buddy who has a toddler sent him a couple of books on fatherhood. He's reading a book by Kevin Nealon right now, I think it's called So You're Pregnant - What About Me? or something similar to that. He also got Alternadad by Neal Pollack which I stole and am reading - it's funny.
you HAVE to get him So You're Going to be a Dad by Peter Downey - it is totally hysterical and a great way to keep DH interested in what's going on...it explains a lot in total "guy" terms and is really funny while doing it. I read a few pages and almost peed laughing! Highly recommended!!!!
We bought ours at barnes & noble amazon also carries it
Mine read some of this, which is pretty good for him. He used some of the advice early on, too, like when I asked him if I looked fat or pregnant. (He said, "The book told me not to answer you.")
Eventually he quit reading any of the things I showed him because he thought they all said the same things. (Help us do chores, rub our backs, etc.)
