How do I capture the blue sky (and clouds) without over exposing? Seems like I can get the exposure awesome on the subject, but the sky is always over exposed and washed out. Any tips? Other than practice of course.
I am NOT a photog (like at all) but my dad, bro and sis are and I know they fix a ton of that stuff in photoshop or lightroom. Don't know if that is technically the correct answer but I know that it works!
Is your subject facing the light or is the light behind them? If they are facing the light, you may be less likely to overexpose the sky behind them. And you will catch the catchlights in their eyes. Also, you can always underexpose slightly in camera and then fix in PS.
Re: Photogs. Question.
You know my credentials....
