2nd Trimester

Anyone else smell like chocolate?

I started using cocoa butter lotion last night, as my first stretch mark has appeared and I now smell like cheap christmas candy for about an hour after I put it on.  Am I alone here?  Or is this the new scent of pregnancy?   Just curious. Stick out tongue

  • oh no, you got your first stretch mark at 13 weeks??

I use the Vaseline brand cocoa butter, it smells good.

  • Yes, I have a tiny blue stretch mark already right where all of my "non-baby bump" is relocating itself.  That's what me go get cocoa butter lotion last night.  Whatever will be will be, I guess.  I think it's a sacrifice that won't bother me because it means LO is growing.

  • Not yet, but I should probably go buy some. I haven't found any stretch marks as of yet...is that normal?!
  • I've been using cocoa butter every day since I found out. I think of it has my new perfume cause even after I shower I can still smell it. Good thing I like it :)
  • Just so you guys know, cocoa butter doesn't actually do anything to prevent stretch marks - though it can make them itch less if you're having a problem with that.
  • I had to buy the unscented Palmers butter because that fake chocolate smell was not good for my m/s in the beginning.
